FOUNDER'S DAY

Marshall school celebrated its founder’s day on 14th of Nov. with great music, dance, drama and also honoured the students who excelled themselves in academics . The toppers of Board and and non-Board classes mere honoured by the chief guest Shri Trivendra Singh Rawat , Cabinet minister of Uttarakhand. In his speech he laid emphasis on the overall development of a child. Mr. R.P. Kukreti ,Head Master of Marshall School read his Annual Report stating how the school has worked for the students. After the address from the Vice-principal , Mr. Rajneesh Juyal, the students look the audience to the entertaining world.

The entertaining programme, performed by the various sections of the school was breath – taking.Through the folk dances of Rajasthan , Garhwal and fishermen dance children exhibited the various colours of India.The whole environment changed . The audience was taken to the world of bright reds and yellow. The dances were highly appreciated. Rajasthani folk dance depicted the difficult life led by people in village, whereas Garhwali dance was based on the hard life of women in the hills. Fishermen dance portrayed the risks faced by fishermen in their lives. After all these beautiful dances eve were taken to the world of melodies.

The little children rendered “Sapne Hone Jaroori Hai” and “Together’ a soul touching numbers whereas the senior choir presented “We are the World.” A song sung by all the famous singers of the world for the sufferers of drought and famine in Euthopia. The words of the songs helped everyone to momentarily forget about the troubles the world was going through and focus on the much more important ideal of peace between all.

A beautiful dance carrying the message of unity in diversity was presented by the junior Marshallite in Bridal dance giving a glimpse of brides of different states.

A humourous play “Badam Banam Damad” was also put up by the junior students. The entire show was lots of fun . The play depicted different humourous situations one faces on meeting people who are hard of hearing. Special thanks to the English and hindi department. A musical play ” An Antique Radio” was put up by the senior students. The play was a satire on the society . The play was really true to life and very inspiring. The costumes and stage set up were incredible, and the actors really put their best into it. All credit goes to the teachers and students who were willing to come for rigourous practices even on holidays.

The function was well attended by the parents and well wishers. The programme concluded with a very meaningful message and vote of thanks by the vice-principal, Mr. Rajneesh Juyal.
